The Embrio- have'nt heard much about this for a while.

When I first began to teach back in 2005, one of the lessons I took great enjoyment in teaching, was that of Environmental Issues in Design and how designers have gone about creating more sustainable products to reduce our carbon footprints.

This little product was one that I talked about and at the time, did hear quite a lot about on the net, but things have gone quiet and I am wondering what has happened to it? If anyone knows, can you post a comment to let me know? It got a buzz in lessons.

The Embrio was designed by engineering company Bombardier and this as I understood it, was going to revolutionise the way the we would travel.Yet, for now five years I have not seen or heard a peep even on sites like Tuvie.com that presents a lot of new stuff and even things like this that was at the time, coming out in 2014. Tuvie is a good site and shows lots of new and wild designs that are due to emerge on the market many years from now.

The product is really clever and looks really quirky and in truth, I would drive around on one. The cycle operates on a hydrogen cell and with the mixture oxygen to charge it, the only off-shoot of the product is water. Hence why this was going to change the way we thought about travel. Really interesting and I loved talking about it to my students.

Using the uni-cycle worked on using your centre of gravity to steer and by leaning from side to side you would be able to turn and change direction. I think it is really great.
