The Public Loo

As promised, here is another example of bad building. This particular example (right) does have me thinking I hope this installation is not at a 45,000 seater sports stadium, because half time will be hell for anyone who fancied one or two during the first half.

You never know this might be a good thing, at least you wouldn't have someone using the loo next to you, which is never a particularly nice experience for me anyway.

With the new Foster's Ad Campaign  that indicates space invaders are not particularly good, but I am not sure that becoming a "shouter" will be appropriate in getting a little room to relieve yourself?

Whilst writing this particular pause for thought, I was googling the image you see to your right and saw a few other interesting designs for public toilets and thought, what the hell eh? Let's make this one about toilets- funnily enough, this particular piece that I post might belong in one, but let's have a look at the other forward thinking approaches to how people conceive designing functional implements and facilties for the universal process of passing waste material. I have found some useful gadgets.

This particular article (right) is a two way toilet that allows the user to either stand on one side and on another, to sit. The only thing is that the ledge that lowers down does not look too sturdy for our more over weight members of the community.

Something tells me that the design below is a joke? I do hope so, because the image looks like it is placed "in town" neither would I like to be one to use or see someone using that particular loo.

Right, time to stop, this is not one particular message that I want to go into great depth on, but it does go to show that even our ones and twos are being thought about creatively- that's pleasing to know.

I will be continuing my material soon. Thanks for reading!
